Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)
PEMF therapies target muscle and tissue to assist in reducing pain and inflammation. A PEMF therapy system looks similar to a yoga mat for animal patients or a padded mat you may find at a gym. However, this mat can address physical pain and discomfort derived from hip dysplasia, arthritis, injuries, or other conditions that result in stiffness, muscular agitation, or even incontinence.
Like acupuncture, many of our patients may fall asleep from relaxation during this treatment. It may also take a couple of weeks for a patient to see full benefits from this treatment.
